TextVoice converts text to speech entirely on your device. Your text is never
uploaded for processing, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
The short version
No accounts. You don't sign up, and we never ask for your identity.
On-device synthesis. Speech is generated locally. Your text never leaves your iPhone or iPad for synthesis.
No analytics, no tracking, no ads. We include no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
No data sale. We do not sell or rent any information to anyone.
What the app handles, and where it stays
Your text and documents. Text you type, paste, or import (TXT, PDF, Word, EPUB, photos) is processed on-device to produce audio. It is not transmitted to us or any third party for synthesis.
Optical character recognition (OCR). When you read a photo or image-only PDF, text recognition runs on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are not uploaded.
History (iCloud sync). If you save items to History, the text and settings for those items sync across your own devices through your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data is stored in your iCloud, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is not accessible to us. Audio files are never uploaded — they are regenerated on each device on demand.
Generated audio. Audio you create stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
When the app uses the network
TextVoice works fully offline for speech synthesis. The network is used only in these optional cases:
Importing a web page. If you paste a link to read an article, the app fetches that page directly from its website so it can extract the text. This request goes to the website you chose, not to us.
Downloading voice models. If a build does not bundle all required model files, the app downloads them from the public Hugging Face repository Supertone/supertonic-3. No personal data is sent with these downloads.
iCloud sync of your History metadata, as described above.
Purchases, handled by Apple (see below).
Purchases
TextVoice Pro is offered through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payments, subscription status, and
restore are handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment
details. Purchase handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Feedback email
If you choose to send feedback from within the app, your email app opens a pre-filled message
that includes basic technical details (app version, build, iOS version, device model, and language)
to help us diagnose issues. The message is sent only when you tap send, and only to us.
You can edit or remove any content before sending.
Children's privacy
TextVoice does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects
no personal data and requires no account, it is safe to use without sharing personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Everything created in the app is stored on your device (and, for saved History, in your own iCloud).
To delete your data, remove items from History within the app, or delete the app to remove its
on-device data. iCloud-synced History can be removed through your iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
