Overview
Tranvel - Travel Translator ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS travel translator application developed by Perry Lee. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Tranvel.
The short version: Tranvel does not collect, store, or share your personal data with us or any third parties for advertising or analytics purposes. All your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account.
Device Permissions We Request
TravelAssistant requests the following iOS permissions to power its features. All processing happens on your device.
Data Stored On Your Device & iCloud
The following data is stored locally on your device and synced to your private iCloud account (CloudKit). It is never accessible to us.

Network Requests
TravelAssistant makes limited outbound network requests solely to provide core functionality:

exchangerate-api.com — Currency RatesUsed to fetch current exchange rates for the currency converter. Only the requested base currency code is sent (e.g., "USD"). No personal data is transmitted.

Apple iCloud / CloudKit — Data SyncYour app data is synced through your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to this data.

Apple Translation & Speech FrameworksTranslation and speech recognition use Apple's on-device frameworks. Depending on your iOS settings, some requests may use Apple's servers per Apple's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store — In-App PurchasesPremium feature purchases are processed exclusively through Apple StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information.
What We Do Not Do
TravelAssistant does not:
- Collect analytics or usage dataNo crash reporting SDKs, no analytics tools, no behavioral tracking.
- Serve advertisements or share data with advertisersThe app contains no ads and no ad-targeting SDKs.
- Sell or share your personal data with third partiesYour data is yours. It is never sold, rented, or shared.
- Track you across apps or websitesTravelAssistant has no cross-app or cross-site tracking capabilities.
Children's Privacy
TravelAssistant is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
Since all your data is stored on your own device and iCloud account, you have full control:
- Delete app dataDelete individual records from within the app, or uninstall TravelAssistant to remove all local data.
- Remove iCloud dataGo to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage to remove TravelAssistant's iCloud data.
- Revoke permissionsGo to Settings → Privacy & Security on your iPhone to revoke Location, Microphone, or Camera access at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TravelAssistant after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app.
